Redirects Scratching onto the Scratching Post

Feliscratch by Feliway is an innovative pheromone product that offers a simple solution to cat's inappropriate scratching in the home by redirecting scratching onto the scratching post by mimicking the natural feline pheromone and visual signals (blue colorant).

Cats scratch to mark their territory and condition their nails to keep them sharp. Scratching can also be a sign of anxiety or stress in cats. Stress may result from changes in the home or tension and conflict between cats. When scratching, cats mark their territory by leaving visual signals (scratch marks) and chemical messages from their paws (pheromones).

Feliway Feliscratch contains a copy of natural feline pheromone, Catnip to attract your cat to the scratching post, and blue dye to mimic the visual message of the scratch marks. This combination encourages the cat to investigate the scratching post and continue to return to it and use it. Feliscratch by Feliway has been clinically proven to help reduce or stop unwanted scratching in the home and redirect cats to the scratching post.

Directions for use:
  1. Place your scratching post over a sink or on a newspaper to avoid potential spillage on fabrics, furniture or carpets.
  2. Slowly apply the contents of one pipette to the scratching post by drawing 2 or 3 vertical lines that will mimic the natural scratches made by cats. Do this daily for the first 7 days, then 1 pipette at the beginning of week 3 and 1 pipette at the beginning of week 4.
  3. Let liquid dry for 5 minutes and place the post close to the area where your cat scratches or usually rests.
  4. If you have more than one cat, each cat should have their own scratching post to prevent competition to use the post causing unwanted scratching elsewhere in your home.
Feliscratch by Feliway combined with Feliway Spray is recommended for cats that have been scratching for a long time. Apply Feliscratch by Feliway to the scratching post following the recommended protocol above. Apply 8 sprays of Feliway Spray where the cat is exhibiting unwanted scratching at least once daily until the behavior resolves.
  • Feliscratch by Feliway should be applied where you want your cat to scratch.
  • Feliway Spray is to be sprayed where cat(s) should not scratch.
