Description:
Chlorpromazine Tablets
Chlorpromazine belongs to a class of drugs
known as phenothiazine derivatives. Chlorpromazine is most used as a centrally
acting antiemetic. Also used for sedation and and preanesthetic pruposes.
Compared to other phenothiazines, chlorpromazine has moderate sedative effects
and moderate to strong anti-vomiting effects.
Instruction:
Use with caution in animals with seizure
disorders. Avoid use in horses.
Used for vomiting caused by toxins, drugs, or
GI disease. Higher doses than listed in dosage have bee used with cancer
chemotherapy.
Tranquilization: 0.8mg-3mg/kg
(Dog); 0.25 - 0.5mg/kg (Cat)
Antiemetic: 3.3 mg/kg (Dog);
Irritable colon Syndrome: 0.5
mg/kg (Dog)
Muscle Relaxation During Tetanus:
2 mg/kg (Dog)
