Description:
Hydroxyzine pamoate (generic for Vistaril) is used by veterinarians for the treatment of allergies in dogs. It is also used for use as a sedative or tranquilizer in dogs. It is available as 25mg and 50mg capsules. The usual dose for dogs is 1mg/pound by mouth every 6 to 8 hours. It should not be used in pregnant or nursing animals.
