Description:
VANGUARD® DA2MP contains highly attenuated strains of canine distemper (CD) virus, human measles virus, canine adenovirus-2 (CAV-2) and canine parainfluenza (CPI) virus propagated on an established canine cell line and freeze-dried to preserve stability. The measles virus component provides heterotypic immunity against CD virus in puppies with levels of maternal CD virus anti-bodies that interfere with active immunization.
VANGUARD DA2MP is approved for:
Vaccination of healthy puppies 6 to 12 weeks of age as an aid in prevention of CD, infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) caused by canine adenovirus-1 (CAV-1), respiratory disease caused by CAV-2, and CPI. The CAV-2 component cross-immunizes against CAV-1 and immunizes against CAV-2.
Key Features
Measles virus stimulates active cross-immunity against CD virus in puppies as young as 6 weeks of age regardless of levels of maternal antibodies that interfere with active CD virus immunization.
CAV-2 cross-immunizes against CAV-1 to protect dogs against ICH without producing postvaccination side effects, including uveitis and corneal opacity, sometimes associated with CAV-1.
Customer-friendly packaging using recycled materials includes peel-off labels to make record-keeping faster and more accurate, a color-coded organizing system, and an easy-open safety band.
