Antimicrobial - Antifungal

Dechra Mal-A-Ket Shampoo is a antimicrobial, antifungal and cleansing shampoo formulated for dogs, cats and horses. Mal-A-Ket Shampoo supports a healthy skin for animals with conditions responsive to Ketoconazole, Chlorhexidine and/or Acetic Acid.

Ketoconazole has excellent antifungal properties.

Chlorhexidine has potent antimicrobial functions. When combined with Acetic Acid, it has a wider antibacterial activity against gram negative and gram positive organisms.

Acetic Acid potentiates and stabilizes the ketoconazole. Acetic Acid also has primary antimicrobial, antifungal properties, as well as excellent degreasing, cleansing and coat conditioning qualities.

Active Ingredients: Chlorhexidine Gluconate 2%, Ketoconazole 1%, Acetic Acid 2% in a shampoo base.

Directions: Wet the hair coat with warm water and apply a sufficient amount of shampoo to create a rich lather. Allow to remain on coat for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Use initially 2-4 times per week for 4 weeks, then reduce to once per week or as directed by veterinarian.

Keep out of the reach of children. Wash hands after using. Caution: For animal use only. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Not for otic use. If undue skin irritation develops or increases, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.

Store at controlled room temperature of 59°-86° F.
