Norfenicol Injection

(florfenicol)

Norfenicol (florenicol) Injectable Solution 300 mg/ml is a broad-spectrum, highly effective antibiotic indicated for the treatment and control of Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD, Shipping Fever) associated with Mannhelimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni, the major pathogens of BRD. Norfenicol Injection is also indicated for Bovine Interdigital Phlegmon (Foot Rot, Acute Interdigital Necrobacillosis, Infectious Pododermatitis) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus.

Cattle at risk for BRD
  • Environment factors: transport, co-mingling, crowding, weather fluctuations, etc.
  • Infectious Agents: Bacteria, viruses and parasites
  • BRD is reported the main cause of sickness and death among feedlot cattle
For intramuscular and subcutaneous use in beef and non-lactating dairy cattle only. Not for use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, or in calves to be processed for veal.

Use within 28 days of first vial puncture.
