Roundworms-Hookworms

Sergeants Sentry HC WormX For Puppies & Small Dogs is a broad spectrum de-wormer for the treatment and control of Hookworms and Large Roundworms in puppies and small dogs under 25 lbs. Roundworms occur in about 70% of all puppies. WormX contains pyrantel pamoate, the most effective active ingredient for control of roundworms and hookworms and is available without a prescription.

Veterinarians recommend worming puppies starting at 2-3 weeks of age and repeating every 2 weeks until 10-12 weeks of age. Lactating bitches should be wormed 2 to 3 weeks after whelping.

Adult dogs should be routinely wormed at monthly intervals to protect against roundworm infections. Many heartworm preventatives will have a dewormer for roundworms and hookworms already included in the monthly medication.

Treats and Control 5 Species of Intestinal Worms

2 Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina)
3 Hookworms (Ancylostoma canium, Anclystoma braziliense, Unicinaria stemocephala)

Directions:
1 tablet for each 10 pounds body weight. For dogs weighing more than 10 lbs, tablets may be broken in half to provide 1/2 tablet for each additional 5 lbs body weight. All tablets are scored and easily broken in half. May be given to your dog by hand, mixed in food or put into a treat.

Place tablet directly into back of mouth or conceal tablet in a small amount of food. A follow-up fecal examination should be conducted in 2 to 4 weeks after the first treatment to determine the need for retreatment.
