Clavamox Oral Antibiotics for Cats & Dogs

Pfizer's Clavamox for dogs and cats is an orally administered antibiotic and the most frequently prescribed of oral antibiotics used to counteract bacterial infections affecting soft tissue as a result of staph, strep or E. coli. Bacterial infection in dogs and cats is not uncommon and the combination of ingredients used in Clavmox, which make it what's called a potentiated penicillin, is synergistic in its effect in dealing with these bacterial strains.

Clavamox is available in either tablets or drops. Drops come in a 15 mL bottle and tablet strengths start at 62.5 mg and can also be ordered in 125 mg, 250 mg and 375 mg strengths. Clavamox should be administered based on a prescription from licensed veterinarian.
