Clemastine 2.68mg Tablets
Antihistamine
Clemastine Fumarate 2.68mg is an antihistamine for dogs and cats that is very
effective in treating allergy symptoms, including itchy skin (pruritus) and skin
inflammation of Atopic Dermatitis. Similar to and often more effective than
other antihistamines, Clemastine acts by blocking the H1 receptor on tissues and
suppresses inflammatory reactions caused by histamine.
Clemastine 2.68mg is available by Rx only and Clemastine 1.34mg is available
without a prescription (OTC).
Small Animal Dosage:
Dogs:
0.05-0.1mg/kg every 12 hours orally.
Side Effects: Sedation is the most common side effect. Dry mouth and
decreased GI secretions are also possible effects.
There are no contraindications or drug interactions reported in animals.

Inactive Ingredients: Lactose Monohydrate, Magnesium Stearate, Microcrystalline
Cellulose, Sodium Starch Glycolate.
