CORID (amprolium) 9.6% Coccidiostat Oral Solution

HuvePharma CORID (amprolium) 9.6% Coccidiostat Oral Solution is indicated as an aid in the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in calves caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zuernii. For a satisfactory diagnosis, a microscopic examination of the feces should be performed before treatment. When treating outbreaks, CORID should be administered promptly after diagnosis is determined.

Use CORID 9.6% Oral Solution as the sole source of amprolium. Shake bottle well before each use to disperse particles.

• Mix CORID daily with fresh drinking water. Offer the medicated water as the only source of drinking water during the treatment or prevention period.
• 5-Day Treatment Protocol
  • Mixing Rate: Add 16 fl oz CORID 9.6% Oral Solution per 100 gallons of drinking water.
  • At usual water consumption, this provides approximately 10 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight daily.
  • Offer as the only source of water for 5 consecutive days.
  • Use on a herd basis; when one or more calves show signs of coccidiosis, treat all calves in the group.
• 21-Day Prevention Protocol
  • Mixing Rate: Add 8 fl oz CORID 9.6% Oral Solution per 100 gallons of drinking water.
  • At usual water consumption, this provides approximately 5 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight daily.
  • Offer as the only source of water for 21 consecutive days.

• CORID drench solutions may be stored in a clean, closed, labeled container for up to 3 days.
• 5-Day Treatment Drench
  • Mixing Rate: Add 3 fl oz CORID 9.6% Oral Solution to 1 pint of water.
  • Dose: Administer 1 fl oz of this drench solution per 100 lb (45 kg) body weight.
  • Provides approximately 10 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight.
  • Give once daily for 5 consecutive days.
  • Use on a herd basis; treat all calves in the group when coccidiosis is diagnosed.
• 21-Day Prevention Drench
  • Mixing Rate: Add 1.5 fl oz CORID 9.6% Oral Solution to 1 pint of water.
  • Dose: Administer 1 fl oz of this drench solution per 100 lb (45 kg) body weight.
  • Provides approximately 5 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight.
  • Give once daily for 21 consecutive days.

• For oral use in animals only.
• Use as the sole source of amprolium.
• May cause eye irritation. In case of eye contact, flush with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
• Use on a herd basis; when one or more calves show signs of coccidiosis, it is likely others have been exposed.

• Store between 5°C and 25°C (41°F and 77°F), with brief excursions permitted up to 40°C.
• When product is stored for prolonged periods, black, brown, or orange to yellow particles may appear on the surface.
• Contains benzoic acid 0.1% as a preservative.
