FRONTLINE Shield for Dogs is a convenient monthly topical for protection against fleas, ticks and chewing lice along with providing repellancy of mosquitos, ticks and stable flies. FRONTLINE Shield effectively controls infestations and prevents reinfections of fleas, ticks and chewing lice. At 48 hours post-application, it starts killing fleas in 5 minutes and continues to do so for a full 30 days.

Frontline Shield for Dogs contains fipronil and the insect growth regulator (IGR) Pyriproxyben. Frontline Shield effectively targets all stages of fleas. Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in long-lasting activity against fleas, ticks and chewing lice. Permethrin is a pyrethroid that kills and repels insects and acarines. The pyriproxyfen prevents all flea stages (eggs and larvae) from developing to help prevent re-infestation.

What is the difference between Frontline SHIELD and Frontline Plus?
Frontline Shield contains an additional IGR ingredient, pyriproxyfen, which helps to kill flea eggs and larvae more effectively. It also contains Permethrin that kills and repels ticks and mosquitoes.

Directions For Use
Do not allow children to apply product. To prevent harm to you and your pet, read entire label and directions before each use. Follow all directions and precautionary statements carefully. Use on dogs only. Do not use on cats, rabbits or other animals. Do not exceed recommended dosage amount for dogs. Do not apply more than one tube to dogs. Do not reapply FRONTLINE Shield for 30 days. Do not on dogs under 9 weeks of age or weighting less than 5 lbs.

Keep cats away from dogs for 24 hour

  1. Remove one applicator tube from the package and hold in an upright position pointed away from your face.
  2. Twist dispensing tip clockwise about 1/2 turn while pushing down to break the tube’s seal. Do not remove the dispensing tip.
  3. Position the dispensing tip on the dog’s back between the shoulder blades. Use the dispensing tip of the tube to part the dog’s hair so that the product will be applied at skin level. Begin squeezing out the contents of the tube to form a stripe as you move from the shoulder blades along the dog’s back to the base of the tail.
  4. Repeat every month.
Side Effects
Monitor your dogs after application. Side effects may include signs of skin irritation such as redness, scratching, or other signs of discomfort, Gastrointestinal signs of vomiting or diarrhea have also been reported.

How Supplied
Frontline Shield for Dogs 3 and 6 monthly doses for weights 5-10 lbs, 11-20 lbs, 21-40 lbs, 41-80 lbs and 81-120 lbs.
