Zoetis Quest Plus Gel Dewormer For Horses (moxidectin/praziquantel) is a medication used to treat and control parasitic infections in horses and ponies six months of age and older. It is a dewormer that contains two active ingredients: moxidectin and praziquantel. Quest Plus Equine Gel is used to treat and control common equine parasites such as large and small strongyles, encysted cyathostomes, ascarids, pinworms, hairworms, stomach bots, and tapeworms. It is administered orally, and the dosage is based on the horse's weight.

Dosage and Adminstration:
It is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian or on the product label carefully. Generally, the recommended dose of Quest Plus Equine Gel is 0.4 mg/kg of moxidectin and 2.5 mg/kg of praziquantel, which is equivalent to one 11.3 g syringe per 1250 lb of body weight.

To set the dose, turn the white dial ring on the syringe until the left side of the ring lines up with the weight of the animal in 50-pound increments. Then, administer the gel orally by placing the syringe tip in the space between the horse's teeth and gently pushing the plunger until it stops, depositing the gel on the back of the tongue. Finally, raise the horse's head slightly to ensure it swallows the gel, and replace the syringe cap for reuse.

It is important not to underdose, as this may result in ineffective treatment and encourage the development of parasite resistance. Always ensure each horse or pony receives a complete dose based on their current body weight.

Presentation:
QUEST PLUS Gel is available in one syringe applicator size. Each SURE-DIAL syringe contains 0.5 oz (14.0 g) of QUEST PLUS Gel which is sufficient to treat a single horse weighing up to 1500 lb, or two or more lighter animals with a combined body weight of up to 1500 lb.
  • 0.5 oz (14.0 g) syringe - 20 mg moxidectin and 125 mg praziquantel per mL
  • Store at or below 77°F (25°C). Avoid freezing. If frozen, thaw completely before use.
  • Store partially-used syringes with the cap tightly secured.
