Dechra Redonyl Ultra Feline Powder is a nutraceutical containing Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) for the support skin health and function in cats of all ages. PEA is a natural fatty acid made by both animals and plants. PEA is produced by the body in response to tissue injury. When a cat's skin becomes unhealthy for any reason, the body produces 30 times more PEA than usual to help maintain the skin well-being. PEA functions to stabilize mast cells, a type of white blood cell important in inflammation and allergic reactions. When mast cells are activated by allergens, they release histamine and other biochemical mediators of itching and skin inflammation. When PEA is present, mast cells release less histamine and other inflammatory substances, and helps maintain skin health.
Redonyl Ultra formulation uses an extract of soybeans to create a super concentrate of PEA. The ultra micronizing of the PEA extract allows for better absorption. The flavored soft chew for dogs can also be given to cats.
Skin allergies are one of the most common causes itching and inflamed skin in cats. Allergic reactions can develop from pollens, mold, house dust mites, and other environmental allergens.
How to use Redonyl Ultra Feline:
For use in cats only. Ad Redonyl Ultra can be used in conjunction with topical therapies for skin health, including shampoos, mousses, condtioners, sprays and wipes. Redonyl Ultra is often given as part of a multimodal approach to maximum skin support.
