Kesium (Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium) Chewable Tablets

Ceva Kesium Chewable Tablets are a broad‑spectrum antimicrobial formulated with amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium. These tablets are indicated for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections in dogs and cats, including skin, soft tissue, periodontal, and urinary tract infections.

• Skin & Soft Tissue Infections: Wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, superficial/juvenile pyoderma, deep pyoderma
• Periodontal Infections: Effective against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria associated with canine periodontal disease
• Target Organisms: β‑lactamase and non‑β‑lactamase producing Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., E. coli

• Skin & Soft Tissue Infections: Wounds, abscesses, cellulitis/dermatitis
• Urinary Tract Infections (Cystitis): Effective against susceptible strains of E. coli
• Target Organisms: β‑lactamase and non‑β‑lactamase producing Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Pasteurella spp.

• Recommended Dose: 6.25 mg/lb body weight, twice daily
• Treatment Duration:
  • Skin/soft tissue infections: 5–7 days or 48 hours after symptoms resolve
  • Deep pyoderma: up to 21 days (maximum 30 days)
  • If no response after 5 days, discontinue and reevaluate

• Recommended Dose: 62.5 mg twice daily
• Treatment Duration:
  • Skin/soft tissue infections: 5–7 days or 48 hours after symptoms resolve (max 30 days)
  • UTIs: 10–14 days or longer (max 30 days)
  • If no response after 3 days, discontinue and reevaluate

• Therapy may begin prior to culture/susceptibility results
• Culture recommended to confirm susceptibility and guide treatment adjustments
• Maximum treatment duration for all indications: 30 days
